Feri, Sheila, and I, together with Andy our trusty photographer, begin the walk up this beautiful mountain in the glorious autumn sunshine. On the way we pass little wine press houses surrounded by the changing autumn leaves and berries. Like all the hills around the Balaton, the rock is volcanic, and the summit is called the organpipes which is exactly what they look like. We passed one with a tree growing right out of the rock. At the very top we could see Tapolca in the near distance. We took the 'blue route' up which is supposed to be easier than the red, but we all agreed that it was a hard enough climb for us 'old folks'!
